Global Offshore Wind Summit 2023

23 November 2023
Oslo Event Hub, Gamle Museet, Oslo

Maximising the value of offshore wind amid inflation and supply chain pressures

The Global Offshore Wind Alliance launched at COP27 set an ambitious goal to have at least 380GW of offshore wind in the water by 2030, a five fold increase on today’s figure. Buoyed by the market potential and the new opportunities offered by floating technology, governments across the world are setting ambitious targets that look set to establish the industry as a critical energy source from its Northern European heartlands to the Pacific Ocean. Nonetheless huge questions remain over whether the supply chain has the capacity to scale up in conjunction with rising demand. When set against a backdrop of cost inflation, shortages of critical components and materials, complex regulations and geopolitical tension, the offshore wind industry will be forced to navigate a series of testing challenges over the coming years. How can the industry channel a collaborative and positive approach to reducing regulatory barriers, attracting investment, incentivizing the supply chain and maximizing future production capacity?

The Global Offshore Wind Summit will unite developers, OEMs, suppliers, analysts, policymakers and all key stakeholders to discuss the big questions in this optimistic yet precarious landscape. Join us in Oslo and be part of the conversation that will shape the future of our industry and net-zero ambitions worldwide.
